    I bought 2 of these blankets thinking they would be perfect for using them as throws when my Husband and I watch TV. I have bought this brand many times before and have had good luck with it.
    But this time, I washed them as instructed on the tag. (I wash all fabrics before use). they shed all over the laundry room and the living room. I'm still finding fuzz balls all over the house. They also had matted spots throughout the blanket. I am very dissatisfied in the quality of this blanket. What a waste of hard earned money.

    My favorite blanket ever! Bought 2 for us then 3 for friends! It is a very light blanket but is VERY warm. Very fluffy, it does shed at first, but after the first wash that stops. Wash on gentle in COLD water, hang to dry and air fluff in the dryer after its dried. Putting it straight in the dryer after washing will cause the "fluffyness" of the blanket to go away.

    Berkshire is a brand I've trusted for more than 15 years, but it seems they no longer make my favorite polar fleece blanket with whipstitch edges. I decided to try this newer sherpa option. Out of the box, I was concerned that the fabric felt thin. Other reviewers reported major shedding issues even after multiple washes. Fingers crossed! My blanket went in and out of the washer with zero evidence of shedding. Same result from the drying phase. BUT when used, this blanket sheds profusely, leaving clothing and beds covered with messy lint. Can't yet speak to longterm durability, but the shedding issues cancel out its postive traits of warmth and softness. I wouldn't buy this again, and will be asking for a refund. Berkshire, please bring back the polar fleece from past years.

    Love the color. Love how soft and good it feels. Hate the fact it sheds. Wash it alone. I have washed it 3 times and it still sheds badly. I have little red fuzzies all over my bed and floor. Use a dryer sheet to wipe out your dryer as well or all your future laundry will have fuzzies. I threw out one of my shirts. Too much work to try to remove the fallout.

    I like this blanket. Washed and dried it to fluff it up. No softener, very low heat and it came out perfect! It's not quite as thick and fluffy as the Berkshire extra fluffy throws I purchased a few years ago, but it works well on my king bed. I will use this as my winter blanket here in Florida, most blankets are way too hot for me. This one lets the air circulate while keeping your body temperature warm. You could also use this under a quilt in a colder climate, it would work well.
