Great product! So, I did quite a bit of research before purchasing as there are SO many marble run options online. This one has to be one of the best. First off, its huge! Be aware, a lot of the ones advertised are much smaller, but they don’t show any scale in the photos and are actually quite small. This one is a really nice, large size and provides a lot of time for the marbles to make their runs. There are lots of obstacles and twists and turns and stairs, etc. to keep a kid entertained. The pieces are super well made (a la 1980 plastic quality vs 2000’s). The pieces fit together very snuggly. I bought this for my four year old. There’s a zero percent chance should could have assembled this herself. I pride myself on my building skills (can build IKEA furniture in half the time of most people). It was not difficult to build, but the directions are entirely visual (no words), so those with good visual-spacial abilities will have a much easier time. Took us about 15 minutes to build completely (with my 4 y/o wanting to be the only one who assembles it while I instruct her on where to place the pieces. I am very glad I bought this unit and not any of the other 15+ I was considering. This was hands down the best value and highest quality for price paid of any of the other options. I’ve included a photo of my daughter playing with it to give you a good idea of its size. (She’s a very tall 4y/o). She is someone that can get bored with things easily, and she has been playing with it nonstop for 30 minutes now. My original thought was I wanted her to build her own runs and learn how the different pieces can work together, but it looks like we will be sticking with the predesigned layout for a while.i thought this would be a great STEM exercise for her. I’m all about girls being interested in building and not just dolls. I suspect she might get frustrated trying to build runs on her own, so that is possibly 6 months to a year away. The reason for not giving this 5 stars for stability and sturdiness and ease of assembly is due at no fault to the designers of the toy. It’s due entirely to the nature of the toy itself. I suspect it is probably the most stable of any of them on the market with a similar design. Highly recommend!!

tldr: This thing is almost perfect, but could use some minor redesign to make it more stable, and also make the instructions more clear.

"Santa" had the pleasure of setting this thing up on Christmas Eve. While it wasn't "impossible" to set up, it's immediately obvious how they could have made setup WAY easier.
The biggest help would be if they included a simple paper template that clearly marks where you should place the main support legs for the bottom pieces. It is extremely difficult to tell exactly where they are supposed to go based on the instructions provided. With this larger set, there are about 10 bottom end-points (main support legs). The instructions have you build the set layer by layer. When you start getting into the higher layers, you will find that your legs aren't exactly in the right spots because you start connecting these legs together with long pieces and things will not line up correctly. Then you will spend a lot of time trying to keep the lower sections connected while also repositioning the legs into the correct orientation so the higher pieces connect.
There was also a feature where the marble rolls down a ramp and then does a little mid-air jump into a catching basket. Using the initial setup instructions, this feature would throw the marble too far and miss the basket. After some re-design, we were finally able to get this feature to work.
My last gripe is that there are 3 - 4 "floating" legs on this set. Meaning that around 4 - 5 "layers" up, a new leg starts by using a connecting piece to another leg. While this looks cool, these floating legs start to sag because there's nothing supporting them directly underneath. All they had to do was provide like 8 more little straight connection pieces to bring these floating legs all the way to the floor, making the entire structure WAY more stable. I tried to take a photo that shows what I'm talking about.
Other than the above mentioned issues, this is a great marble set. My kids have played with it way more than I expected so far. It will be fun to buy some expansions down the line.
