Washable rug
I got a new puppy and she had a UTI from the moment I had her. She SOAKED my dining room and living room rugs. I thought her continuing to smell her pee didn’t help the potty training process. I decided to buy washable rugs and hopefully train her faster. I couldn’t pick up the rugs because she was also diagnosed with “carpal laxity in puppies” who knew during week 2. Week 3 better come in quiet and don’t say nothing!!! Anyway, I digress. The rug is a lot more beautiful than I anticipated for a washable rug and it’s soft. I laid a rug pad down first and covered the rug pad in pee pads so the rug pad doesn’t get ruined. Either the rug was not a full 9x12 or the rug pad was a little larger but I had to cut the rug pad which was annoying. I didn't measure the rug to see which was off. Truthfully, I have no idea if it will fit in a washer machine, but it seems to repel pee. The pee seems to sit on top of it long enough for me to get napkins to wipe it and it doesn’t soak through because I checked. So far though, I haven’t let pee sit long enough to know if it eventually goes through. The rug is soft and was pretty easy to put down.     The rug was just what we were looking for. It took a long time to get the creases out. It is used in a spare room and matched the other colors perfectly. However, since no foot traffic in a spare room we layed heavy books on the creases to solve that problem. Looks good now.
